On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, Pannasastra University of Cambodia (PUC) and IT Academy STEP Cambodia (STEP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen collaboration between the two institutions. The ceremony was attended by top officials from both sides, including Dr. Kol Pheng, President and founder of PUC, Mr. Vladimir RODIONOVS and Mrs. Natalja Rodionova, Managing Partners of STEP, as well as deans and directors from the educational departments of PUC and STEP. Under this agreement, alumni from STEP will have a pathway to pursue further education at PUC in the Computer Science program. Those who have earned credits and graduated from STEP can apply for admission to PUC's Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program. STEP Academy graduates with an associate degree are eligible to directly enroll in the bachelor's program at PUC and continue their education with credit transfer. Today our team from IT Academy STEP Cambodia Institute visited Chak Angre Krom High School to establish their first computer lab by donating laptops and tables. This large school serves over 5,000 students from elementary through high school grades. Providing access to technology is critical for today's youth to gain the digital skills needed for future careers and opportunities. We hope this new computer lab sparks inspiration and unlocks potential for the students at Chak Angre Krom. During our visit, we also discussed launching a Sisters of Code club to provide a supportive tech community for female students. Programs like this help strengthen diversity in STEM fields. We are proud to announce that the year 1 students at IT Academy STEP Cambodia institute have successfully completed their entrance exams in Mathematics, English, and Computers as required by the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport in Cambodia. These exams are necessary to qualify for an Associate Degree program at the institute.
