On September 26, 2024, a significant milestone was achieved in Cambodia’s educational landscape, as representatives from the National Committee for Lifelong Learning (NCLLL) and IT Academy STEP Cambodia Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that solidified a shared commitment to advancing digital capabilities and promoting lifelong learning. This five-year collaboration highlights both parties’ dedication to empowering Cambodia’s citizens through cutting-edge digital education, a critical factor in national development.

The MoU, signed by H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports, and Ms. Rodionova Natalja, Managing Partner of IT Academy STEP Cambodia aims to address the nation’s need to support education and workforce development, especially in the field of digital skills development, ensuring that lifelong learning becomes a reality for all.

With a proven track record since 2015, IT Academy STEP Cambodia Institute has established itself as a leader in digital skills development, both locally and internationally. Through its deep expertise in fostering technological literacy and professional skills, IT Academy STEP brings invaluable knowledge and resources to the partnership. The institute's contributions are instrumental in executing the National Committee’s lifelong learning strategies, making it a pivotal player in Cambodia’s educational transformation.

This partnership not only reflects a shared vision for the future of education but also reinforces IT Academy STEP’s unwavering commitment to Cambodia’s growth. By aligning with the NCLLL, IT Academy STEP is demonstrating its long-term dedication to building a resilient, future-ready workforce that will drive the country's economic and social progress.

Key Priorities of the MoU:

1. Raising Awareness: Both parties will organize national forums and events to emphasize the critical importance of lifelong learning, particularly in the context of an increasingly digital world.

2. Building Digital Infrastructure: IT Academy STEP will provide vital support to NCLLL in developing online platforms and digital tools, ensuring that learning resources are accessible to all sectors of Cambodian society.

By introducing advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence into digital training programs, the collaboration aims to equip Cambodia’s citizens with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in an increasingly competitive global landscape.

Moving Forward: Implementing Action Plans

To ensure the success of the MoU, a joint task force will be established to guide the execution of key projects and initiatives. Among the first priorities is the organization of the National Forum on Lifelong Learning, set for early 2025. This forum will serve as a platform for thought leaders, educators, and policymakers to discuss the future of education in Cambodia and explore innovative solutions for the country’s challenges.

In addition, IT Academy STEP will play an integral role in developing sector-specific digital training programs, introducing participants to emerging trends and technologies, including Artificial Intelligence. The institute will also provide ongoing consultation and technical expertise to ensure that the NCLLL’s efforts to modernize Cambodia’s education system are successful and sustainable.

In the first term, all students go through English for IT and digital skills foundation courses. These are built into the program so that no student is left behind, whatever their starting point.   What Is a Professional Diploma, and Why Does It Matter? Neither option tells you clearly what the job market actually wants. A Professional Diploma from IT Academy STEP Institute is a different path. It is not a local certificate. It is issued by IT Step Institute,

Inside Our Free 3D Design Workshop at IT Academy STEP Cambodia

Recap of our free AI Tools for 3D Design workshop at IT Academy STEP Cambodia. See what 67 students learned about AI, Blender, and the real 3D design pipeline.

On July 4, our STEP Olympic Branch was packed. 67 students showed up for our free workshop, AI Tools for 3D Animation and Product Design. By the end, one thing was clear: everyone wanted to know how AI is changing the way 3D artists work. If you missed it, here is what went down.   A Session That Actually Kept You Awake The workshop was led by Mr. Aleksei Brunov, and he kept it fun. Instead of reading off slides, he built things live. Students watched every step happen in real time, including the mistakes and the fixes. But the best part was not the tech. It was learning where AI helps, where it fails, and why you still need real skill to get a good result.   AI Can Start the Job. It Cannot Finish It. Here is the lesson that surprised most students. AI is amazing at the first step. You type one sentence and a rough 3D model shows up in minutes. Work that used to take days now takes seconds. But open that model and the problem shows up fast. The shape is mes

Two Programs, One Shared Determination The graduating class represented two distinct but equally vital sides of the technology world. The Computer Graphics & Design graduates spent their journey mastering the visual language of the digital age, learning to turn ideas into compelling designs, brand identities, and creative work that businesses depend on every day. The Software Development graduates, meanwhile, learned to build the systems, applications, and solutions that power modern life. Behind every line of code was a student who refused to give up, who debugged late into the night, a
