Last Sunday, January 18, 2026, IT Academy STEP Cambodia proudly held another meaningful graduation ceremony at our new Olympic branch, bringing together students, families, teachers, and leaders to celebrate one important milestone: progress earned through commitment and real skills.

This ceremony marked the graduation of two STEP programs coming together in one celebration: students from the Computer Graphics & Design program (Morning Group) and the Software Development program (Evening Group). Each graduate completed a journey that demanded discipline, creativity, and continuous learning in a fast-changing tech world.

A Message About the Future of Tech in Cambodia

The ceremony was honored by the presence of Branch Director Mrs. Natalja Rodionova, who delivered an inspiring speech focused on the growing opportunities in Cambodia’s technology and digital industries. She shared insights into how tech skills are no longer optional but essential, and how Cambodian students are becoming increasingly competitive in both local and international markets.

Her message was clear: with the right training, mindset, and industry-relevant skills, Cambodian youth can confidently step into careers in graphic design, software development, digital marketing, and beyond.

Celebrating Students, Supported by Family and Teachers

What made the graduation even more special was the strong presence of parents and teachers. Families came together to celebrate the achievements of their sons and daughters, recognizing the effort behind every late night, project deadline, and learning challenge.

Teachers, who guided students from fundamentals to professional-level skills, stood proudly alongside their graduates. The moment reflected what STEP believes in deeply: education works best when students, mentors, and families move forward together.

Recognizing Excellence: Star Student Award

During the ceremony, Rem Sokleap was honored with the Star Student Award, recognizing outstanding performance, dedication, and consistency throughout the program. This award highlights STEP’s commitment to encouraging excellence, not just in technical ability, but also in attitude, responsibility, and a growth mindset.

Industry-Ready Skills with International Recognition

STEP programs are designed to prepare students for real industry demands. Our curriculum is aligned with international standards and supported by tools and certifications recognized by Microsoft and Autodesk, ensuring students graduate with skills that matter in the workplace, not just on paper.

From design thinking and creative execution to programming logic and problem-solving, STEP graduates leave with practical experience that employers value.

Your Journey Can Start Here

This graduation was more than a ceremony; it was proof that focused training leads to real outcomes. For students who are still deciding their path, STEP offers a clear direction into Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, and Software Development, industries that continue to grow in Cambodia and beyond.

If you’re looking for a place where skills meet opportunity, STEP is built to help you move forward with confidence.

How to Become a Software Developer in Cambodia (No Experience Needed)

A practical guide to become a software developer in Cambodia with no experience: what to learn first, what juniors actually earn, and how long it really takes.

You do not need a computer science degree or a genius-level brain to become a software developer in Cambodia. You need a plan, a few hours a week you can protect, and enough patience to keep going after your code breaks for the fifth time in one evening. Phnom Penh's tech sector is still young. Banks, telecoms, startups and agencies are hiring people who can build software, and many are hiring juniors because the senior talent pool is small. That is an opening. Here is an honest roadmap.   Step 1: Pick One Language and Stay With It The most common beginner mistake is switching languages every three weeks. Pick one and go deep for at least six months. Python is the friendliest starting point. The syntax reads almost like English; it is used everywhere in AI and data work, and you can build something useful within a few weeks. JavaScript is the alternative if you want to see results in a browser immediately. Whichever you choose, learn the same fundamentals: variab

Best IT Courses in Phnom Penh: How to Choose the Right Program for 2026/2027

Comparing IT courses in Phnom Penh? See how to choose the right program and explore 4 international diploma majors at STEP Cambodia. Classes start Nov 2026.

Searching for IT courses in Phnom Penh can feel overwhelming. Every school promises a bright future in tech, but programs differ enormously in depth, recognition, and what you can actually do when you finish. Here is a quick guide to choosing well, plus a look at the four professional diploma programs opening at IT Academy STEP Cambodia for 2026/2027, with the first classes starting this November.   4 Things to Check Before You Enroll Accreditation. A certificate is only as valuable as the institution behind it. Look for MoEYS accreditation and diplomas you can officially verify. Portfolio, not just exams. Employers care more about what you can build than what you scored. The best programs end every term with a real project: a website, an app, a brand book, a dashboard. Starts from zero. A well-designed program requires no IT background. Finishing high school and basic English should be enough. Real tools, flexible schedule. You should learn industry-standard softwa

After High School in Cambodia: 4 Tech Careers You Can Start in 2.5 Years

IT Academy STEP Cambodia is now open for admissions 2026–2027. Discover 4 Professional Diploma programs: Software Development, Computer Graphics & Design, Digital Marketing, and Digital Business & AI. No prior tech experience needed.

You just finished high school. Now what? IT Academy STEP Cambodia is now accepting applications for the Academic Year 2026–2027. We offer four Professional Diploma programs, each 2.5 years long, each designed around what employers in Cambodia and beyond are hiring for right now. No prior tech experience required. In the first term, all students go through English for IT and digital skills foundation courses. These are built into the program so that no student is left behind, whatever their starting point.   What Is a Professional Diploma, and Why Does It Matter? Many students finishing high school face the same choice: a 4-year university degree that costs more and often does not lead to a job in the field, or vocational training that leads to low-paying work. Neither option tells you clearly what the job market actually wants. A Professional Diploma from IT Academy STEP Institute is a different path. It is not a local certificate. It is issued by IT Step Institute,

Inside Our Free 3D Design Workshop at IT Academy STEP Cambodia

Recap of our free AI Tools for 3D Design workshop at IT Academy STEP Cambodia. See what 67 students learned about AI, Blender, and the real 3D design pipeline.

On July 4, our STEP Olympic Branch was packed. 67 students showed up for our free workshop, AI Tools for 3D Animation and Product Design. By the end, one thing was clear: everyone wanted to know how AI is changing the way 3D artists work. If you missed it, here is what went down.   A Session That Actually Kept You Awake The workshop was led by Mr. Aleksei Brunov, and he kept it fun. Instead of reading off slides, he built things live. Students watched every step happen in real time, including the mistakes and the fixes. But the best part was not the tech. It was learning where AI helps, where it fails, and why you still need real skill to get a good result.   AI Can Start the Job. It Cannot Finish It. Here is the lesson that surprised most students. AI is amazing at the first step. You type one sentence and a rough 3D model shows up in minutes. Work that used to take days now takes seconds. But open that model and the problem shows up fast. The shape is mes
