Cambodian Youth Live Online

Today’s Khmer students spend most of their time on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Telegram. This is where trends start, opinions form, and buying decisions happen. Traditional marketing like flyers or banners, barely reaches Gen Z anymore. If a brand is not online, young people simply ignore it.

Businesses in Cambodia Have Changed

Many Cambodian businesses have shifted to online selling, social media promotion, and digital ads. From small shops to large companies, they now depend on Facebook Ads, content marketing, and influencers. This means they need people with digital skills, not just traditional marketing knowledge.

Traditional Marketing Cannot Track Results

One big problem with traditional marketing is that it’s hard to measure. You don’t know who saw your banner or if it worked. Digital marketing allows businesses to track views, clicks, engagement, and sales. Companies prefer marketers who understand data and performance, not guesswork.

Digital Marketing Skills Mean Better Job Opportunities

Students with digital marketing skills can work in many roles: social media executive, content creator, digital advertiser, SEO specialist, or freelancer. These skills are in demand in Cambodia and also useful for international work. This gives young people more career options and stronger income potential.

Cambodia’s Digital Economy Is Growing Fast

Cambodia is moving quickly toward a digital economy. Online businesses, startups, and digital services are growing every year. Students who learn digital marketing now will be ahead of the curve, while those who rely only on traditional marketing may struggle to keep up.

Learning Digital Marketing Early Is a Smart Move

Students who invest in digital marketing skills early gain a real advantage. With proper training, real projects, and industry guidance, they can graduate job-ready. A professional Digital Marketing Program helps turn interest into real, usable skills for today’s market.

Build a Future That Matches Today’s Cambodia

Traditional marketing alone is no longer enough. Digital marketing is now a core skill for modern careers in Cambodia. At IT Academy STEP Cambodia, our Digital Marketing Professional Program is designed to prepare Khmer students with practical, real-world digital skills.

How to Become a Software Developer in Cambodia (No Experience Needed)

A practical guide to become a software developer in Cambodia with no experience: what to learn first, what juniors actually earn, and how long it really takes.

You do not need a computer science degree or a genius-level brain to become a software developer in Cambodia. You need a plan, a few hours a week you can protect, and enough patience to keep going after your code breaks for the fifth time in one evening. Phnom Penh's tech sector is still young. Banks, telecoms, startups and agencies are hiring people who can build software, and many are hiring juniors because the senior talent pool is small. That is an opening. Here is an honest roadmap.   Step 1: Pick One Language and Stay With It The most common beginner mistake is switching languages every three weeks. Pick one and go deep for at least six months. Python is the friendliest starting point. The syntax reads almost like English; it is used everywhere in AI and data work, and you can build something useful within a few weeks. JavaScript is the alternative if you want to see results in a browser immediately. Whichever you choose, learn the same fundamentals: variab

Best IT Courses in Phnom Penh: How to Choose the Right Program for 2026/2027

Comparing IT courses in Phnom Penh? See how to choose the right program and explore 4 international diploma majors at STEP Cambodia. Classes start Nov 2026.

Searching for IT courses in Phnom Penh can feel overwhelming. Every school promises a bright future in tech, but programs differ enormously in depth, recognition, and what you can actually do when you finish. Here is a quick guide to choosing well, plus a look at the four professional diploma programs opening at IT Academy STEP Cambodia for 2026/2027, with the first classes starting this November.   4 Things to Check Before You Enroll Accreditation. A certificate is only as valuable as the institution behind it. Look for MoEYS accreditation and diplomas you can officially verify. Portfolio, not just exams. Employers care more about what you can build than what you scored. The best programs end every term with a real project: a website, an app, a brand book, a dashboard. Starts from zero. A well-designed program requires no IT background. Finishing high school and basic English should be enough. Real tools, flexible schedule. You should learn industry-standard softwa

You just finished high school. Now what? IT Academy STEP Cambodia is now accepting applications for the Academic Year 2026–2027. We offer four Professional Diploma programs, each 2.5 years long, each designed around what employers in Cambodia and beyond are hiring for right now. No prior tech experience required. In the first term, all students go through English for IT and digital skills foundation courses. These are built into the program so that no student is left behind, whatever their starting point.   What Is a Professional Diploma, and Why Does It Matter? Many students finishing high school face the same choice: a 4-year university degree that costs more and often does not lead to a job in the field, or vocational training that leads to low-paying work. Neither option tells you clearly what the job market actually wants. A Professional Diploma from IT Academy STEP Institute is a different path. It is not a local certificate. It is issued by IT Step Institute,

Inside Our Free 3D Design Workshop at IT Academy STEP Cambodia

Recap of our free AI Tools for 3D Design workshop at IT Academy STEP Cambodia. See what 67 students learned about AI, Blender, and the real 3D design pipeline.

On July 4, our STEP Olympic Branch was packed. 67 students showed up for our free workshop, AI Tools for 3D Animation and Product Design. By the end, one thing was clear: everyone wanted to know how AI is changing the way 3D artists work. If you missed it, here is what went down.   A Session That Actually Kept You Awake The workshop was led by Mr. Aleksei Brunov, and he kept it fun. Instead of reading off slides, he built things live. Students watched every step happen in real time, including the mistakes and the fixes. But the best part was not the tech. It was learning where AI helps, where it fails, and why you still need real skill to get a good result.   AI Can Start the Job. It Cannot Finish It. Here is the lesson that surprised most students. AI is amazing at the first step. You type one sentence and a rough 3D model shows up in minutes. Work that used to take days now takes seconds. But open that model and the problem shows up fast. The shape is mes
