Today our team from IT Academy STEP Cambodia Institute visited Chak Angre Krom High School to establish their first computer lab by donating laptops and tables. This large school serves over 5,000 students from elementary through high school grades.
Providing access to technology is critical for today's youth to gain the digital skills needed for future careers and opportunities. We hope this new computer lab sparks inspiration and unlocks potential for the students at Chak Angre Krom.
During our visit, we also discussed launching a Sisters of Code club to provide a supportive tech community for female students. Programs like this help strengthen diversity in STEM fields.
Empowering Cambodian youth through technology education is central to IT Academy STEP’s mission. We aim to equip students with knowledge and confidence in computer science that will serve them well in life.
It was so exciting to see the students eagerly checking out the new laptops and tech equipment. As they have never used a computer before and only a few have a computer at home, this new computer lab can offer them a unique opportunity. We hope this motivates them to explore technology and consider educational paths in digital fields.
We want to thank the teachers and the director at Chak Angre Krom for welcoming us and being champions of their students’ education. We look forward to seeing the successes from this new computer lab.
At IT Academy STEP Cambodia, we hope to inspire more youth to pursue technology studies and careers. By investing in digital skills development, we can continue empowering future generations with the knowledge to achieve their highest potential. Let's keep working to make quality STEM education accessible for all students!
