You just finished high school. Now what?
IT Academy STEP Cambodia is now accepting applications for the Academic Year 2026–2027. We offer four Professional Diploma programs, each 2.5 years long, each designed around what employers in Cambodia and beyond are hiring for right now.
No prior tech experience required. In the first term, all students go through English for IT and digital skills foundation courses. These are built into the program so that no student is left behind, whatever their starting point.
What Is a Professional Diploma, and Why Does It Matter?
Many students finishing high school face the same choice: a 4-year university degree that costs more and often does not lead to a job in the field, or vocational training that leads to low-paying work. Neither option tells you clearly what the job market actually wants.
A Professional Diploma from IT Academy STEP Institute is a different path. It is not a local certificate. It is issued by IT Step Institute, a network of IT academies in more than 20 countries. That means your qualification is recognized internationally, not just in Phnom Penh.
2 programs also offer an option to receive an Associate Degree accredited by the MoEYS and that would allow to continue studies into a bachelor program, if that would be a plan.
You also graduate with international industry certificates, such as Netacad Academy by CISCO or Autodesk international credentials, that employers check during hiring.
So in just 2.5 years you leave with a diploma, a portfolio of real work, and practical skills you built by actually doing things, not by attending lectures.
The 4 Programs Open for Admission
This academic year we offer four programs: Software Development, Computer Graphics & Design, Digital Marketing & Communication, and Digital Business & AI.
Each is built around a different type of person. Analytical thinkers, visual creatives, communicators, and business-minded students each have a program built for them. Every one of those programs leads to real employment. Read through all four before you decide.
1. Software Development
This program is for people who want to build things. Apps, websites, systems, games. The technology running behind every business you use every day.
You will learn Python, JavaScript, React, and SQL. You will write real code. You will build real projects.
Who should apply: If you like logic, maths, or puzzles, and you have ever wondered how an app works and wanted to figure it out, this program is for you.
Where graduates work: Software developer, web developer, mobile app developer, backend engineer. Average starting salary in Cambodia: $500–2,000/month depending on specialization.
Cambodia's tech sector is growing fast, and many graduates work remotely for international companies from graduation.

2. Computer Graphics & Design
This program is for people who think visually. Who notice good design. Who have strong opinions about how things look.
You will learn Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, 3D animation, and video editing. You will build a professional portfolio before you graduate.
Who should apply: If you are creative and drawn to art, branding, or digital media, this is your program. No prior design experience needed.
Where graduates work: Graphic designer, UI/UX designer, brand identity designer, motion graphics artist. Starting salaries: $400–1,500/month and up.
Design skills are in demand across every industry in Cambodia, from local startups to international companies and NGOs.

3. Digital Marketing & Communication
This program is for people who communicate well. Who understand how people think and what moves them to act.
You will learn SEO, Google Ads, Facebook advertising, content strategy and development, as well as AI skills, analytics, and brand communication. No coding required.
Who should apply: If you enjoy social media, or marketing, or if you want to run a business one day, this program gives you practical, in-demand skills.
Where graduates work: Digital marketing manager, social media manager, content strategist, paid ads specialist. Starting salaries: $400–1,200/month. Freelance income is possible from year one.
Every business needs digital marketing. That makes these skills useful in any industry, in any country.

4. Digital Business & AI
This is the only program of its kind in Cambodia.
IT Academy STEP is the only Institute in the country offering an AI-focused Professional Diploma. If you want to work with AI, not as an engineer writing code but as someone who uses AI tools to run smarter businesses, this is where you do that.
You will learn AI tools, data analysis, Power BI, business strategy, and digital operations. This program is for people who want to lead and manage, not just code.
Who should apply: If you are business-minded, entrepreneurial, or already working and want to stay ahead, this program fits.
Where graduates work: Business analyst, AI project manager, digital transformation lead, entrepreneur. Starting salaries: $500–3,000/month depending on role.
