Tom Stephan joined IT Academy STEP Cambodia with a clear goal to build a solid foundation in design through an internationally recognized curriculum. Today, he works as a Senior Graphic Designer while also taking on freelance projects, proving that creative skills can open doors to multiple career opportunities.
“Our school follows an international standard curriculum, which is what first drew me in,” Tom shares. “The structured learning approach gave me the proper foundation to grow as a designer.”
Throughout his studies, Tom enjoyed every term, especially Term 4, where he explored 3D Design, a subject that fueled his creativity and strengthened his technical skills. From the basics of design in Term 1 to advanced techniques in Term 5, the program provided him with the expertise needed to excel in the industry.
Tom also highlights one of the biggest advantages of studying at IT Academy STEP Cambodia, the opportunity to graduate with both an international diploma from STEP and an associate degree from the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sports. This dual certification gives graduates a competitive edge in the job market.
“For anyone considering graphic design, this skill is in high demand in Cambodia. It offers high salary potential and the flexibility to work both full-time and freelance,” he advises.
Tom’s journey is a testament to the value of industry-focused education. We are proud of his achievements and excited to see his continued success in the creative field.
