At IT Academy STEP Cambodia, we love seeing our students succeed, and nothing makes us prouder than when they take what they’ve learned in the classroom and apply it to real-world situations. Today, we’re excited to share the journeys of Pheng Sopha and Ang Sarintola, two of our students who recently transitioned from interns to full-time employees at 1Byte, a top cloud and web hosting service provider in Cambodia.

The Power of Internships
Pheng Sopha and Ang Sarintola recently wrapped up a six-month internship at 1Byte. During this time, they both showed incredible dedication, quickly adapting to the fast-paced environment and taking on new challenges with enthusiasm. The team at 1Byte was impressed by their ability to integrate into the company, and their hard work paid off with full-time job offers.

1Byte shared that both students were standout interns, each bringing something unique to the table. Pheng Sopha was recognized for his strong communication and time management skills, and his ability to connect with colleagues and clients alike. Ang Sarintola, on the other hand, was praised for his efficiency, professionalism, and knack for streamlining processes. Both demonstrated a strong work ethic and the potential for continued growth within the company.

What the Students Had to Say
Pheng Sopha and Ang Sarintola both expressed their gratitude for the opportunities they had during their internships. They credit their studies at IT Academy STEP Cambodia for equipping them with the knowledge and skills that made their transition into the professional world smoother.

He also mentioned that the internship gave him a deeper understanding of web hosting and cloud services, areas he’s passionate about. He emphasized how his studies, particularly in AWS and PHP, were invaluable during his time at 1Byte, helping him solve problems and navigate challenges. Now, as a full-time employee, he’s eager to keep growing and learning in the IT field.

Ang Sarintola shared a similar sentiment. He found that his internship experience significantly contributed to his personal and professional growth. His studies at IT Academy STEP Cambodia not only prepared him for the technical aspects of the job but also helped him clarify his career path. He now sees himself continuing in the cloud industry, with a focus on data administration. He encourages fellow students to seek out internships, as they can provide crucial clarity and direction for post-graduation goals.

A Call to Future Students

The stories of Pheng Sopha and Ang Sarintola highlight the importance of internships in shaping a successful career. These experiences offer a glimpse into the professional world, allowing students to apply what they’ve learned in real-life situations. At IT Academy STEP Cambodia, we’re committed to providing our students with opportunities like these to ensure they’re well-prepared for their future careers.

If you’re a current or prospective student, consider the value of an internship. It could be the key to opening doors and setting you on the path to success, just as it did for Pheng Sopha and Ang Sarintola.

Traditional marketing is no longer enough in today’s digital Cambodia. As businesses move online and consumers spend more time on social media, Cambodian students must adapt by learning digital marketing skills.

Cambodian Youth Live Online Today’s Khmer students spend most of their time on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and Telegram. This is where trends start, opinions form, and buying decisions happen. Traditional marketing like flyers or banners, barely reaches Gen Z anymore. If a brand is not online, young people simply ignore it.   Businesses in Cambodia Have Changed Many Cambodian businesses have shifted to online selling, social media promotion, and digital ads. From small shops to large companies, they now depend on Facebook Ads, content marketing, and influencers. This means they need people with digital skills, not just traditional marketing knowledge.   Traditional Marketing Cannot Track Results One big problem with traditional marketing is that it’s hard to measure. You don’t know who saw your banner or if it worked. Digital marketing allows businesses to track views, clicks, engagement, and sales. Companies prefer marketers who understand data and performa
