IT Academy STEP Cambodia invites to join Cambodia E-Learning Forum 2020!

IT Academy STEP Cambodia is proud to organize the first Cambodian E-Learning Forum 2020, in partnership The Idea Consultancy, which is hosted by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.

Cambodian E-Learning Forum 2020 will be taking place 100% online with live broadcasting for two days on the 3rd and the 04th of December, 2020 on a Virtual Conference Platform, that allows the participants to enjoy an engaging experience with live Q&A sessions and attending virtual booths of exhibitors.

Just like other countries that have suffered tremendously from Covid-19, Cambodia’s education system has also been disrupted by the global pandemic, making it challenging for educators and students to continue their teaching and studies during these times. As a result, education in Cambodia has been shifted online, but immediate changes and adjustments have created difficulties for the rapid adaptation from the general public. 

The first Cambodian E-Learning Forum 2020 will serve as a timely solution to the current disruption of the Cambodian education system. About 30 speakers from different institutions, with different backgrounds and expertise, will participate in the forum to share their experiences and tips of which we can make use to improve e-learning processes in Cambodia.

There are four main tracks of the forum to cover the most topical issues related to e-learning experience: 

• Pedagogy in E-Learning
• Digital Content Development and Open Educational Resources
• Platforms and Tools for E-Learning
• Learners’ Motivation and Engagement in Digital Environments.

To recognize efforts, innovative approaches and results delivered by the teachers during the recent year, The Most Innovative Teacher Award is introduced. The Award is sponsored by the largest Internet Provider in Cambodia -  EZECOM, who will present to the winners with laptops and a significant prize in cash. At the award ceremony, which will be hosted on December 4, three finalists will be selected to present their achievements live on the forum.

• The first place will be rewarded with five million riel in cash, a Koompi laptop and a certificate from MoEYS; 
• The second place will be rewarded with two million riel in cash, a Koompi laptop and a certificate from MoEYS; 
• The third place will be rewarded with one million and four hundred thousand riel in cash, a Koompi laptop and a certificate from MoEYS; 

To provide the participants of the Forum with a possibility to make new connections, learn about technologies and solutions, Cambodian E-Learning Forum 2020 is creating a Virtual Exhibition, where companies can showing their products and services related to the theme of the Forum.

Cambodian E-Learning Forum 2020 is promising to become the central event for the educators in Cambodia with more than 500 participants joining for 2 days.
